Alan (341/365)

Alan Pavia: Otter always sat in front of Pavia. At first Otter hated Pavia. Pavia was very annoying. Eventually after passing enough notes to Otter with interesting cartoons, Pavia got Otter's attention. Otter started liking Pavia. During recorder lessons Pavia's amusing faces would make Otter laugh.

I love this. The journey of a friendship. (And I'm married to a guy who plays recorder, albeit of better quality than those provided in schools.)

Beautiful!

I.B. - You should have your husband come to the bar on friday for open mic night! ;-)

I really like the style you've used to write this in (and by the way, is this the person you married???).

Thanks Everyone...

I.B. The recorder memory of Pavia leaped back into my mind last week when my daughter (4th grade) brought home her recorder and started playing. The sound of off notes zipping out of her recorder reminded me of Alan's funny faces. Hadn't thought of it in years. I think old familiar sounds (esp. music) and smells have such power in helping our minds remember.
Has anyone else have this experience while doing the 365?

Helen, No my hubbie and I grew up in different parts of the country...me in Chicago...he in Florida/Texas. And although we share the same b-day I'm older :)

lisa-definitely. I find my 365 list, which I never completed, completes itself with song lyrics, banana bread, bits of phrase.
